Opening Ceremony
9:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremonies. Garlic Fest officially opens withlocal dignitaries and celebrities, the ceremonial first bite of garlic and the
arrival of Countess Garlicula.

Wine & Beer
10:30 a.m. - Winemaking Made Easy. Vintner's Circle of Forks
Township will give a presentation of winemaking.
2 p.m. - Wine and Beer Tasting. Back by popular demand. Join us
under the
Grand Garlic Gazebo tent for a wine and beer tasting event. Many of these exceptional beverages, mircobrews and home brews are served at our fine local restaurants. $7 collectible wine glasses available for your tasting pleasure.
Artists, farmers and food vendors will temp you as you stroll Centre Square, traffic free. Come early and come HUNGRY!

School of Rock concert 2:30 pm
The students of the Paul Green School Rock Music - Lehigh Valley Branch will be performing in front of their facility at 19 South Bank Street, right next to the Purple Cow Creamery. They will be playing hits from their British Invasion show as well as some selections from their Bank Street Band show band. Stop in and see their great facility. Contests
Be one of the lucky first 300 people in line for the Gastric Garlic People's Choice Contest at 11:30am. For an entry fee of $5 you get to sample delicious dishes prepared by fabulous local chefs - many of the valley's finest are found right here in Easton - and you vote for the best. Stick around to see who is awarded the coveted Easton Garlic Fest Winners Plaque
11:30 a.m. - Gastric Garlic People's Choice Contest. Line up to
be one of the first 300 people to sample and judge the best garlic dish
from local restaurants. You determine which local chef will take home
the coveted garlic bulb plaque. A garlic lovers dream! $5 charge.
Awards Ceremony, to immediately follow. Two prizes will be given
this year. A panel of chefs' peers will judge and award a $50 gift certificate
and a bag of garlic goodies, sponsored by Wegmans! Next, the
people's choice where your chosen winner will be awarded the coveted
Garlic Bulb Plaque to proudly display in their restaurant until next
year's winner is announced.
Noon - NEW! Dracula Dip Contest. Amateur chefs will be
presenting their best Garlic Dip in hopes that you will vote theirs the
best! You choose who has made a dip worthy of the Counts next Soiree.
$2 charge Award Ceremony - immediately following the contest.
From 1:00pm - 2:00pm stop by the Dracula Dip Contest, taste the entries and vote for the best. The winner gets a $25 gift certificate from Wegman's and a goodie bag filled with garlic goodies from Wegman's and the Easton Farmers Market. the winner will be announced at 2:00pm
2:30 p.m. - Garlic Tasting Contest. You proved you were up to it
last year, so we are bringing it back! Hosted by the Easton Farmers'
Market, this contest is only for the hardiest garlic lovers. Join us under
the tent as our garlic fest garlic farmers offer up their stinkin' bulb for
your consideration. The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate and a
garlic goodie bag sponsored by Wegmans. Vote for your favorite.
$2 charge.

Demos and Samples
Stop by the information booth and pick up your schedule for the day, purchase your Garlic Fest t-shirt before they sell out, visit one of our vendors and get your first bite of GARLIC and plan your day.
Watch chefs preparing mouth watering dishes with the pungent bulb, sweet, savory and downright stinky. Lucky audience members will get free samples
Wegmans Culinary Pavillion
10:30 a.m. - Chef Cook-Off. Back again to show you how it's done,
Executive Chef Brent Rose of Silver Creek Country Club, our undefeated
garlic fest cook-off chef will defend his title. Festival chef Ken Golden will
take him on, and the garlic will be flying as they sauté it out. Each chef
will prepare a creation of his own choice and a panel of judges will decide
who wins this stinkin' cook-off.
11:30 a.m. - Wegmans Chef Demonstrations. You gotta watch this
one! Wegmans' chefs Julie Intrepido-Kmetz, Culinary Educator for
Wegmans, and Peter Skelly, chef for Menu Magazine, are back again,
and you are not going to believe the stuff they put garlic in. A dazzling
cooking demonstration and the free samples just keep flowing.
3:30 p.m. - Chef Demonstration. Can't get enough of chef Ken Golden's
garlicky creations? Stay close as he creates another dish and pick up some
excellent culinary tips. More free samples to lucky audience members.
11:30 a.m. - Chef Demonstration.Festival chef Ken Golden will create
a sensational garlic dish. Watch him cook and stay for some free samples.
Noon - Winemaking Made Easy. Vintner's Circle is back with more
tips and expertise for your home winemaking.
12:30 p.m. - Chef Cook-Off. Come watch the exciting sizzle as two
local chefs go garlic head-to-garlic head in an exciting judged competition.
Johnson and Wales trained personal chef Ken Golden, and Jason Carita,
a Pennsylvania Culinary Institute trained personal chef, will each prepare
their own garlic creation. Be there to see who the judges pick.
10 a.m. - Chef Demonstration. Executive chef Evan Kechley of
Pearly Baker's Alehouse will create a mouthwatering dish featuring…you
guessed it...GARLIC. Watching this winner of garlic fest competitions
past is a real treat, and the free samples will be also.
11 a.m.- Chef Demonstration. Back for a second year as an
honorary Garlic Fest chef, Jason Carita is going to cook up something
garlicious and lucky audience members will get samples!
2:30 p.m. - Chef Demonstration. Mauricio Mendez, of Anita's
Guacamole and a vendor at the Easton Farmers' Market, will treat you to
a garlicky dish and incorporate his wonderful guacamole. Have some
free samples and then stop by his booth later and get some to take home!
3:30 p.m. - Chef Demonstration. Award Winning Woods Wings
chefs John DeMarie and Darren Kyle will be on hand to give away the
company secrets. Learn how to make great wings and then stop by their booth to taste them for yourself.

About the Storyteller: Ellen Heath is the Children's Librarian at the Easton Area Public Library. Ellen co-founded the New Jersey Storytellers' Circle in 1975 and has been telling stories to anyone who will listen ever since.
